Early on Sunday the 29th, my partner, Wendy, came to visit and meet Atticus before she had to teach a class. She took all of the photos in this post; she is such an amazing photographer!<\/div>\n

My son is totally cute but he makes some god awful expressions! In this shot, I think he kinda looks like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle\u2026<\/div>\n

Seriously! What’s wrong with his big toe?! (It has shrunken down to a reasonable size in the last several months)<\/div>\n

Atticus has long monkey toes just like Christine’s!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
In the weeks and months after we brought Atticus home, he would stretch in a position similar to this (usually just after nursing or waking up) and we took to calling it “drunk turtle.” I don’t recall the origins of the term, but it seemed to fit nicely.<\/div>\n
